Heart-Check #2: Have I Grown In God?

This is heart-check #2. If you missed heart-check #1, you can check that one out here. Please don’t forget to share it with your family and friends!

(To Start the Heart-Check, Scroll Down To Start Voting)

This heart-check deals with your walk with Christ. It’s very important that we continuously take inventory of who we are and truth-check our actions and beliefs with the Word of God to make sure they align. The Apostle Paul said in II Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV), “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

Paul also expressed in I Corinthians 13:11 (NKJV), “When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”

The Hebrew writer states with conviction in chapter 6:1-3 (NLT), “So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don’t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds<sup class="footnote" style="font-size: 0.625em; line-height: normal; position: relative; vertical-align: text-top; top: auto; display: inline;" data-fn="#fen-NLT-30006a" data-link="[<a href="#fen-NLT-30006a" title="See footnote a">a</a>]">[a] and placing our faith in God. 2 You don’t need further instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. 3 And so, God willing, we will move forward to further understanding.”

Let us examine our hearts and our actions. We are new creatures in Christ, so our fruit should show proof of that at all times. Go through the heart-check. Be honest with our answers. Share with friends and family!

There are 20 heart-check responses. When you go through the Heart-Check, you will see pink/blue thumbs up/thumbs down voting options. They look like this:

This poll is to understand how well you understand the topic and how you are affected by being offenses and your reaction to them in reference to forgiveness.

Forgiveness

This 10 QUESTION “Heart Check” is on the topic of forgiveness. We know as Christians, we are commanded to forgive; it’s not an option! This poll is to understand how well you understand the topic and how you are affected by being offended and your reaction to them in reference to forgiveness.

Matthew 6:14-15 “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”

Again, this is not to say that anyone’s individual option takes precedence over the Word Of The Lord. His word is Truth. This is simply to provide an opportunity for self-reflection of how you respond when others bring offense to you.
